Kawempe Muslim dominate as Buikwe pip Buddo in ball games 2

Kawempe Muslim emerged as the champions of the USSSA Ball Games II 2023 Football Championship in both the U14 and U16 girls’ tournaments that climaxed in Kabale on Monday.

The Kawempe side beat Boni Concili 2-1 in the U16 final to complete a double in the two categories.

They had earlier defeated 2-1 through Shadia Nabirye’s double in the U14 category.

The win meant that they will represent the country in the CECAFA qualifiers of the 2023 CAF African School Football Championship.

In the boys’ section, St Mary’s Kitende won the U14 championship as Quality High School Buikwe defeated Buddo SS to win the U16 title.

Shammah High School and Standard High School Zana won the respective girls' and boys titles in Beach Soccer.
