Kawempe Muslim extend table lead with crucial win over She Maroons
It was a show of grit and character as Kawempe Muslim managed a slim but important 1-0 victory over She Maroons in the FUFA Women's Super League.
Hadijah Nandago's sole strike was all Kawempe Muslim needed to bag three vital points at their backyard over a stubborn She Maroons on Wednesday.
Nandago struck late in the game off decent delivery from Phionah Nabulime to sink and bury the 'Prison Officers."
Victory took Kawempe Muslim to 27 points at the top of the log, three ahead of runners-up Kampala Queens FC after 11 games.
The former are in the driving seat as they seek to win the championship that has evaded them since the 2017/18 campaign.
On the other hand, She Maroons stayed third on the log with 16 points accumulated in 11 ganes.
