KCCA FC to spice Kawowo with Brazilian Samba, Angolan flair

Pulse Sports can confirm that KCCA FC has signed four foreign players of two nationalities, two Brazilians and two Angolans, who will be part of the playing staff at Lugogo.

The players have already touched base ahead of their unveiling before they hit the ground running as the club’s preseason training begins on Sunday, 16th July.

The four acquisitions take the number of foreign players to five at the club, including Congolese forward Tshisungu Kankonde.

Also, the Lugogo-based side is set to promote a couple of junior team players, with head coach Sergio Traguil aiming to have a mixture of senior and junior players.

The thirteen-time league champions confirmed the departure of nine players on Saturday and also revealed the promotion of junior team player James Mubezi.

Former captain Benjamin Ochan, defender Geoffrey Wasswa, forward Brian Aheebwa, left-back Brian Majwegga, midfielder Denis Iguma, striker Brian Kayanja, and goalkeeper Mwirusi Ali joined Allan Okello and Mustapha Kizza in leaving the club.

KCCA FC is set to feature in the CAF Confederation Cup, hope to win their first league title since 2018 when the StarTimes Uganda Premier League gets underway on 15th September.
