LeBron James has been unavaible for the Lakers since he picked up a foot injury against the Dallas Mavericks at the end of February.
Lakers' LeBron James could return soon
The Lakers announced that James has started to progress with on-court activity and is on a “gradual basketball movement progression."
The Lakers have actually fared well in LeBron's absence, boasting a 7-5 record. They are 36-37 overall, which puts them at 10th place in the Western Conference which would be good enough for a play-in berth.
James has once again been terrific for the Lakers and he was averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists before the injury.
The Lakers started the season terribly and only picked up towards Christmas. LeBron James was a key factor in their resurgence and if they have any chance of making some noise in the post-season, LeBron would need to be available.
LeBron went on Twitter to clarify reports that he had set a target date for his discovery.
There wasn’t an evaluation today and there hasn’t been any target date for my return. I’m just working around the clock, every day(3X a day) to give myself to best chance of coming back full strength whenever that is. God bless y’all sources. 🤦🏾♂️ I speak for myself!
