LaLiga continues fight against bullying with support for ball off

LaLiga is intensifying its commitment to inclusivity and the fight against bullying in football, as evidenced by its recent support for the Ball Off competition held in Lagos, Nigeria. 

This initiative aligns with LaLiga's broader objectives of ensuring that football remains a welcoming space for all, free from discrimination and harassment.

Over the weekend, LaLiga's Lagos office participated in the Ball Off competition organised by Legacy Sports, where the focus was on raising awareness about bullying. 

This event followed closely on the heels of LaLiga's anti-racism campaign, as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, demonstrating the league's proactive stance against various forms of discrimination. 

The Ball Off competition featured intense matches among four teams in both men’s and women’s categories, culminating in victories for Immaculate (women) and ABD FC (men) at the Syrian club, Ikoyi. 

Each champion team received a cash prize of N400,000, highlighting the competitive spirit of the tournament while reinforcing the message against bullying.

LaLiga's commitment to combating bullying is encapsulated in its new initiative, LaLiga VS Bullying, which seeks to address bullying in schools and sports environments. 

This campaign emphasises teamwork and solidarity, urging people not to be passive observers but active participants in confronting bullying. The motto "A team doesn't let anyone stand alone" serves as a rallying cry for unity against this pervasive issue.

As LaLiga continues to champion inclusivity through initiatives like Ball Off and LaLiga VS Bullying, it reinforces football's potential as a powerful tool for social change. 

By addressing issues like bullying head-on, LaLiga not only enhances the sporting experience but also contributes to building a more compassionate society where everyone feels valued and included.
