Jack Grealish's future at Manchester City appears increasingly uncertain, with reports suggesting the England international is set to be offered a £45 million lifeline by Serie A champions Napoli.
The 29-year-old's exclusion from Pep Guardiola's squad for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States has further fueled speculation of his impending departure from the Etihad.
According to The Sun, four times Italian champions, Napoli with a reported transfer budget of £45 million (€59m), has identified Grealish as a primary target.
The Italian club is also understood to be interested in Manchester United's promising winger Alejandro Garnacho, setting up a dilemma as they weigh up which player to pursue.
A move to Naples would see Grealish reunite with former Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who recently joined Napoli on a free transfer, and link up with ex-Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, who also made the switch to Serie A.
Napoli is said to favor Grealish over Garnacho, valuing his experience and proven quality, but acknowledges that the younger Argentine would represent a better long-term investment.
Grealish endured a challenging 2024-25 season, managing just one Premier League goal and one assist for Manchester City, a stark contrast to his influential role in their treble-winning campaign.
His diminished playing time and omission from the Club World Cup squad are strong indicators that he has fallen down Guardiola's pecking order.
