LeBron James shows off new Liverpool merch

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has gone viral with a Liverpool shirt.

James showed off a new Liverpool shirt in collaboration with his brand to the Los Angeles Lakers game against the San Antonio Spurs in the early hours of Thursday, January 26, 2023.

After a disappointing defeat in the Los Angeles derby to the Clippers, LeBron James put up another dominant performance against their Western Conference rivals.

On the second night of a back-to-back, James featured for 36 minutes and recorded 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and contributed 11 assists to miss out on a triple-double.

James made just eight of his 20 shots which includes one of six from three-point range after a record-setting performance 24 hours earlier.

The shirt James wore to the game and later at the post-match press conference went viral on social media.

The 38-year-old basketball icon showed off a new shirt which is a collaboration with Premier League giants Liverpool.

Nike and LeBron logos are where the usual Standard Chartered sponsor design on the front of the jersey is.

The shirt with the LeBron logo is yet to be released by international sports brand Nike sponsors Liverpool.

It is expected to be a limited edition apparel designed with black vertical stripes, a red pinstripe, and the You'll Never Walk Alone (YWNA) symbol of the club.

The label at the bottom of the shirt designed like a jersey said, “Engineered to the exact specifications of Liverpool FC & LeBron James.”

To go with the shirt, James wore a limited edition pair of Air Max 1s designed with the Liverpool logo.

It is now expected that Nike will drop a LeBron James and Liverpool range of merch soon after the shirt and shoes that have gone viral.

James a minority shareholder with Liverpool as part of a deal with Fenway Sports Group is expected to return to action for the Lakers in the NBA in their next game against rivals the Boston Celtics scheduled for Sunday, January 29, 2023.
