Legend Ben Komakech named on City Oilers' new technical bench
Ten-time National Basketball League champion and legend Ben Komakech has been appointed on the City Oilers' new-look technical bench.
Komakech has been named the assistant head coach for the eight-time national champions as they try to move on from the Mandy Juruni era.
"Thrilled to welcome our new assistant coach, Komakech Ben. Ready to embark on this journey together," City Oilers revealed on their social media handles.
Juruni signed for Rwanda's Kepler men's basketball team just moments after guiding the Oilers to the Basketball Africa League.
It should be noted that the gaffer left a City Oilers legend, having guided them to nine successive NBL championships.
Meanwhile, Juruni's former deputy, Andrew Tendo, has been named his direct replacement.
