What Yalçın said

Yalçın expressed concerns over the financial implications of such a deal, suggesting that the substantial investment might not guarantee the desired outcomes for the club.

"Osimhen is a very good player, but a figure like 80 million euros is not realistic in this league," Yalçın stated, as reported by Ege de SonSoz.

He continued, "Yes, Osimhen should be acquired, but not by paying 80 million euros. These figures are a dream in such a league. Let's be realistic."

He further questioned the rationale behind the hefty expenditure.

"Will Galatasaray win the Champions League by getting Osimhen? Do you really believe that? These things cannot be done with just transfers. Planning, squad depth, system… It's all a whole," he added.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has had an impressive season, scoring 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. His contributions have been pivotal in Galatasaray's successful campaign, culminating in winning both the Süper Lig and the Turkish Cup.

Despite his outstanding performance, the prospect of a permanent move remains uncertain. Osimhen has previously expressed a desire to play in the English Premier League, with clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal reportedly showing interest. His current market value is estimated at €70 million, a figure that is still below the €80 million discussed.
