Man United's stance could help Samuel Chukwueze secure a top transfer move
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has emerged as a viable option for Real Betis, with the Spanish club failing to make headway in their bid for Antony.
Chukwueze back to Spain?
According to Diario de Sevilla, the former Villarreal forward is on the radar of Real Betis, who are in the market for a right winger.
Chukwueze has a wealth of LALIGA experience, playing in the league for five years before moving to AC Milan in 2023.
However, his career at AC Milan has not gone as hoped. He has only managed 21 league starts across two seasons for the Rossoneri, with last season (9) worse than his first (12), a clear sign of regression.
The Nigeria international is expected to leave Milan this summer, and Betis are paying attention and will make a move for him should they fail to land Antony.
The Antony saga
Antony remains the Heliopolitans’ first choice for the right winger position. The 25-year-old has proven quality in a Betis system, as he had a successful six-month spell at the club last season.
However, the Seville-based side have failed to table a proposal that Manchester United deem sufficient. The Red Devils are holding out for £35 million, while Betis are hoping to pay less than that or sign him on loan with an obligation to buy.
