Manchester United manager to get rid of 12 first-team players in ruthless overhaul
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly has doubts over several members of the squad and will look to find a new home for them in the summer.
Ten Hag ready for ruthless summer rebuild
The club has already made decisions over the likes of Defenders Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe who are out of contract in the summer.
The United hierarchy will also consider the prospects of players returning from loan deals.
Alex Telles and Eric Bailly have both spent the season on loan to Sevilla and Marseille respectively and it is unlikely they will be given a pathway back into the team.
Mirror Football reports that after the disappointing 3-0 defeat and subsequent Europa League exit at the hands of Sevilla, Harry Maguire, David de Gea, and Anthony Martial have been added to the list.
Maguire and Martial were already believed to be in the shop window ahead of the summer, but De Gea's disastrous performance in Spain has raised serious questions about a contract extension.

Ten Hag wants a goalkeeper who can play the ball out from the back with his feet, something De Gea cannot do, as he demonstrated in the defeat to Sevilla.

Midfield duo Fred and Scott McTominay are also under threat, as well as fringe players Anthony Elanga, Donny Van de Beek, and Brandon Williams.
The club have recently been more decisive when getting rid of players as shown by their decision not to pursue contract renewals with Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, and Edinson Cavani who all departed on free transfers last summer.
