Maroons edge Express, leaving no undefeated team in UPL
The Red Eagles were the only unbeaten team left in Uganda’s top-tier division after six games, coming into Friday’s encounter.
Solomon Walusimbi netted a beautiful goal from distance in the 30th minute, proving the difference between the two sides.
The game was delayed for almost half an hour because the field of play was not fully demarcated at the initial kick-off time of 4:00 pm.

Furthermore, the playing conditions could have been better for both sets of players, with a soggy surface at Wankulukuku.
Nonetheless, the Prison Warders were able to grind out maximum points, lifting them a position above their day’s opponents on the UPL standings.
Muhammad Ssenfuma’s charges are placed fifth with 14 points after eight games, while James Odoch’s team is ranked sixth with 12 points with a game in hand.
The seven-time UPL champions will visit URA FC in Lugazi on 1st December for their next game, whereas Maroons will be at home against Mbarara City FC a day earlier.
