David Owori scored the all-important goal that separated the two sides in the 40th minute stinging in from Joseph Kafumbe’s effort.

Prior to the match, BUL had beaten The Jogoos twice in the Stanbic Uganda Cup in one month.

“We did not play badly though we lost concentration in the build-up to that goal though I don’t blame anyone for it,” Masaba said of his debut loss.

The last time the edible oil manufacturers lost or failed to score against Villa was in November 2017 winning nine and sharing spoils in four of their 13 ties.

The self-proclaimed Eastern Giants, 29 points, have now gone four games without a win in the league thereby surrendering their second spot to Villa who has five points more.

“We’ve not been scoring but that’s what we are going to work on these few days before our next game. We need to start scoring,” the coach revealed his point of focus before facing Gaddafi next week.
