‘Maybe I need some time too’ - Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle reveals after Zimbabwe draw

Chelle led the Super Eagles in his second game in charge and was held to a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe at Uyo.

Victor Osimhen gave his team the lead, which gave them hope of a win, but their hope was cut short with an equaliser from Zimbabwe.

The result has led to several reactions from fans, who were optimistic about getting a World Cup ticket ahead of the game.

After the game, Chelle was asked what the next step was going forward, looking at the chances to go for the World Cup, becoming slimmer and slimmer.

The Super Eagles are currently sitting in fourth place in Group C, with seven points from their first six games.

With their chances of getting a ticket to the World Cup fading away, they will need to win their remaining games and hope others drop points in the process.
