Mbappe effect: Mystery woman who went viral after ‘stealing’ PSG star’s attention gains 100k followers in 4 days

This week, a mystery woman has gone viral on the internet, after an encounter with outgoing PSG star, Kylian Mbappé.

The lady, simply identified as Leatsa, is said to have come face to face with the 25-year-old Les Blues skipper while he was taking some time off in Cannes.

The encounter reportedly happened on Sunday, May 19, at a restaurant named Le Guérite, Sainte-Marguerite, in Cannes.

It was gathered that Mbappé was in the company of his teammate, Ousmane Dembele, as well as his best friend, Tchaga, when the encounter happened.

Viral footages of the encounter showed a lady believed to be a staff of the restaurant, dressed in a blue attire while holding up a Dutch flag alongside a man in an attire as well, who held up a bottle of alcohol, approaching the table of Kylian and his entourage.

The outgoing PSG no.7 was also filmed pausing his discussion with Dembele to allegedly stare keenly at the lady for about three seconds.

Netizens were quick to identify the mystery woman, who is simply goes by “@leatsa___” on Instagram.

Since the encounter, the lady who is understood to be of French and Moroccan descent has seen her Instagram following skyrocket.

On Monday, less than hours after her encounter Mbappé, she had reportedly gained over 8,000 followers.

On Tuesday, her following reportedly went up again by more than 52,000.

And on Wednesday, she finally reached more than 100,000 followers on Meta’s platform as Mbappé’s influence has been credited to her new found fame.

The lady, identified as Leatsa, has also been lauded for her beautiful looks as fans continued to share their admiration for her in her comments section.
