Mileke Border Sevens: Heathens draw Buffaloes

Kyadondo Sevens winners Platinum Credit Heathens will face Toyota Buffaloes in the group phase of the Mileke Border Sevens scheduled for this weekend in Tororo.

The two Kyadondo outfits have been pooled in Group A alongside Rams and a yet to be identified Invitational side.

Heathens are fresh from winning their second circuit of the Nile Special Club Sevens Series and will be looking to further move up the table.

Having won the Rujumba Sevens in Wakiso, Heathens struggled in the Tooro Sevens before bouncing back at Kyadondo.

Buffaloes will also be encouraged by their fifth-place finish over the weekend.

The two sides are separated by 17 points, with Heathens in third place on 84 points while fifth-placed Buffaloes have 67.

Table leaders Stanbic Black Pirates are in Pool B with Makerere Impis and two invitational sides.

KOBS will battle Rhinos, Walukuba and an invitational team in Pool C while defending champions Jinja Hippos have Plascon Mongers, Warriors and an invitational side for company in Pool C.

With five circuits played, Pirates top the log with 93 points and will be looking to wrap up the series in the last two events.
