Teshna has been a key support system for Wanyama for close to eight years, with their union blessed with two sons, and they are still going strong as they both pursue their careers.

The actress and film producer recently weighed in on the reward scheme of President William Ruto, which saw him feat Harambee Stars players with millions for winning matches during the CHAN 2024 tournament, saying the team was performing exceptionally due to the big money on offer.

Teshna is convinced that there is plenty of talent in the country but what is holding it back is lack of major incentives that would motivate them and she used the footballers’ performances as an example.

"I think you can agree with me that the problem with Kenyan football is the money. These guys were promised a million for every win and half a million for every draw. They are performing exceptionally. True or false?" the former TV presenter posted on TikTok.

Wanyama, who was in the car with her as she shared her opinion, agreed with her assessment, saying: “Somehow true. Money is everything, and motivation is very big. And nothing can motivate players more than money. And we have got the world-class coach in Benni McCarthy. So, you can see what it has done."

That elicited various reactions from her followers but one of them went over the line, posting: “You also followed Victor because of his money.”

That comment saw Teshna fire back in the most brutal of ways as she used the opportunity to enumerate some of her major career achievements.

“Usiwachie hapo [don not stop there] bro finish with, “…… and currently living in London. Both my children are British,” replied the mother of two.

“Launched my Film and TV production. The first film from my production house premieres in October, In LONDON! And in the largest cinema in entire UK.

“And you are probably going to watch it on Netflix or Canal or Amazon prime… and that money comes to my pocket. I’m creating wealth not for myself only but for generations to come… Poverty is the enemy bro. STAY MAD,” she further wrote.
