NFF is still owing me ₦38 million- Oliseh opens up on NFF’s failure to lead the Super Eagles
Oliseh was appointed as the head coach of Nigeria's national football team by the NFF from 2015 to 2016.
However, his tenure as the head coach of the Super Eagles was cut short after he resigned from the position on February 26, 2016.
Fast forward to today, and he has opened up on how the Nigerian national team has regressed due to the NFF's poor planning.
What Oliseh said
Speaking on the Bet9ja YouTube channel, Oliseh revealed he is the only Nigerian coach to resign from the national team.
“I was coaching, and then at one point I felt that look, I saw what is happening now coming then child, believe me, I saw it coming then. One of my best friends is here Rash. I told them already then.
“It was coming then. And then I said, look, since you people don't want to follow it and I see it's going to come, it's not going to come on my head.' OK, I am resigning.
“Till today I'm the only Nigerian coach to ever resign. And until today they are still owing me 2 months' salary. Which is worth $26,000, and people have invited me to take Nigeria to court, to take the NFF to court.
“I have refused to take NFF to court for one reason, and that is the fact that. I will not take my fatherland to a Western court. No, it starts with FIFA. You have to go to FIFA first, and even if I and you win anyway for sure because the contracts are there.
"But I looked at it that they would not write in my brow when they were writing in the international press, they wouldn't say Olia takes NFF to court. They say Oli takes Nigeria to go to court."
