The Warriors have had a less-than-stellar season by their lofty standards but have still done enough to make the playoffs without needing to navigate the dreaded play-in situation. They have struggled on the road all year but have been utterly dominant at home.

Klay believes Warriors can go all the way

With the playoffs now just weeks away, Warriors guard Klay Thompson has sounded bullish about the team’s prospects.

Speaking with reporters after Golden State's recent win over the Sacramento Kings, Thompson said, "I don’t see a team who can beat us in a 7-game series when we’re healthy."

The Warriors won their fourth championship in the last eight seasons after Thompson and Draymond Green made similar remarks last season.

Verdict - Never doubt the Warriors

Recent history suggests there is no reason to doubt Thompson’s comments, despite the Warriors' performances in the regular season.

Their championship core is intact with Thomson, Green, and point guard Steph Curry, and crucially, they possess more championship experience than any other team in the NBA.

This Warriors core hasn't lost a playoff series before the NBA Finals since 2014, despite not having the dominant regular season required for postseason success.

However, when you have a team with the knowledge, experience, and ability to shoot the three at the highest level the league has ever seen, you always stand a chance.
