"We are well prepared from when we returned from Mbarara; we've been correcting our mistakes to maintain our winning start," Mbalangu told club media after Thursday's last training session.
The Bugolobi-based side made two new additions before the close of the transfer window, roping in striker Cromwell Rwothomio from Viper, they also extended Julius Mark Kazibwe's contract.
"We beefed up the squad, adding Cromwell Rwothomio and Julius Kazibwe, but they won't feature in Friday's game because they joined late.”
“We, however, expect them to feature in the upcoming games, including Enock Ssebagala, who is injured," Mbalangu noted.
Team captain Marvin Kavuma also emphasised that the team has worked on sharpening their scoring and defence as he rallied the fans to come and support them.
"It was a hard game (Mbarara), but the win was a huge motivating factor; we have worked on our scoring and defence lapses, so we're all motivated. I urge the fans to show up in large numbers.”
NEC kickstarted life in the top flight with a 1-0 win away to Mbarara City last Friday at the Kakyeeka Stadium, with South Sudanese international and former Express FC right-wing back Joseph Dhata scoring the game's only goal.
