Oldboy Paul Mucureezi sends stern warning to KCCA as Kitara visit Lugogo

While there will be no bad blood, it will be business as usual as Paul Mucureezi returns to his former home KCCA FC, with his current side Kitara FC.

Mucureezi and his Royals will battle with the Kasasiro Boys in the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.

The experienced attacking midfielder has stressed they will have their eyes stuck on a positive result, to stay within their season targets.

“This is an important game for us and we intend to do our best on Friday,” Mucureezi told the club media.

”We have prepared ourselves well and want to keep our target of being among the top five alive, so we hope to put up a real fight, show character and pick a good result that we can take home," he added.

Mucureezi, however, doesn't expect it to come easy against his old team, who are under rejuvenation.

“We expect a very competitive game. We are playing against a resurgent side that has improved from the time we last met.”

In their first-round encounter, Kitara smiled heartedly to a 3-1 victory in Masindi, thanks to goals from Mucureezi, Kabon Living and Denis Omedi.
