Osimhen and Boniface get back together after heated moment at fulltime

Nigeria hosted Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo and were held to a 1-1 draw, despite Osimhen opening the scoring for Nigeria. 

Unfortunately, a momentary lapse in concentration late in the game allowed Tawanda Chirewa to score for Zimbabwe, resulting in a draw.

After the game, Osimhen's displeasure with his teammates was evident and he was seen pushing Victor Boniface away when he tried to approach him.

Boniface and Osimhen frequently engage in playful banter on social media, demonstrating the strong rapport they share, but it's a different ball game when it comes to onfield matters.

Osimhen got angry after the final whistle and was seen storming off the field and ignoring the handshakes of his teammates, including Boniface.

However, in a video shared on Instagram, Osimhen and Boniface were seen conversing at an airport lounge, indicating that they have put their differences aside.

Nigeria's chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup remain alive despite the loss to Zimbabwe.

They will need to avoid defeats and draws in their remaining games and hope the likes of Benin and South Africa also drop points.
