Juventus interest

The Old Lady have had a long-standing interest in the Nigerian striker and with the expected exit of Dusan Vlahovic this summer, the Bianconeri identified Osimhen as the ideal replacement.

Signing Osimhen would be tough, given Napoli’s stance on selling to rivals. However, Juventus were said to be determined and willing to pay above his release clause if necessary.

Osimhen rebuffs Napoli

According to Turkish football expert Bülent Timurlenk, Osimhen turned down Juventus’s approach. He also made mention of the Nigerian’s high wage demands.

"Osimhen has closed the doors to Juventus,” he said, per GsGazette. “European teams cannot pay him much anyway. If Galatasaray wants to buy Osimhen, they have to pay Napoli 75 million euros.”

The claim about Juventus was also echoed by another Turkish football analyst, who revealed that Fenerbahce denied interest in Osimhen, adding that the player rejected Juventus.

"I asked 3-4 people from Fenerbahçe management and they said Fenerbahçe has no initiative for Osimhen. They all denied it. The moment Galatasaray pays 75 million euros, they will deposit the money without contacting Napoli and finish the job. They say the player has rejected Juventus. I think his chances of staying at Galatasaray have increased.”
