The Bolivia Football Federation, FBF, has suspended an official for playing excessive stoppage time during a league encounter.

Referee Julioa Gutierrez added a remarkable 42 minutes of additional time as Palmaflor and Blooming delivered a five-goal thriller on Monday.

A total of 132 minutes were played with Palmaflor seeing off Blooming following a 3-2 win in Chapare, Bolivia.

Following the incident, the Bolivian football governing body has now come out to descend heavily on Gutierrez for what they describe as "excessive added time."

According to the FBF, the official put the players at a heavy risk of injuries with his action.

Therefore, Gutierrez and his team of officials made up of the video arbitration assistants (VAR) and the linesmen who ended up adding 42 minutes in the second half of the Palmaflor vs Blooming match were suspended indefinitely by the sports authorities, as per Bolivian outlet, Bolivia.com.

(The Commission) resolves to suspend indefinitely the entire refereeing team, until the audios and videos of the match are reviewed. In addition to the VOR room to determine individual and collective responsibilities, "said the National Commission in a statement.
