Photos: FUFA Big League - Heavy downpour disrupts Ndejje against Booma
Following the Wednesday afternoon heavy downpour, the FUFA Big League match between Ndejje University FC and Booma got called off with just the first half played.
The Arena of Visions pitch in Ndejje got flogged with water, and all the green had been covered for the better parts of the first half.
The pitch was a lake; the ball could hardly move, and the players couldn't freely run or make a pass.
And with the visitors Booma with a 1-0 lead, the officials halted the game before it got pushed to Thursday morning.
"Match Interrupted by the Heavy rain, second Half to be played tomorrow at 10:00 am," a statement from Ndejje University Football Club's social media handles revealed.
Ndejje will likely turn the events around when the game resumes tomorrow, hoping to get their season back on track.
They are enduring an abysmal start to the 2023/24 campaign, having lost each of their three games, and currently sit at the base of the log.
