Police's promotional ambitions dented after loss to Kaaro Karungi
Police Football Club is at risk of failing to qualify for next season’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League following their loss to Kaaro Karungi in the FUFA Big League on Sunday.
The Cops had no option rather win the game if they were to keep tabs with Kitara, Mbarara City and NEC at the top but a lacklustre performance saw them succumb to a defeat, instead.
Junior Kawawa scored in the final minutes of the first half to gift the Ibanda side the win and boost their chances of surviving the chop.
The result leaves Police in fourth with 47 points but trailing NEC with four with three games left.
It also means that the top three could as well seal their fate should they win any of their two remaining fixtures.
On Saturday, Northern Gateway confirmed their relegation after losing 1-0 to Calvary in Adjumani.
