Chelsea secured their fifth win in a row under Potter with a 2-0 victory over beleaguered Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa side at Villa Park.

While Mason Mount scored both goals, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa grabbed most of the headlines with an incredible performance to keep a clean sheet on Sunday afternoon.

The world's most expensive goalkeeper seems to be getting back to his best form after making seven (7) saves during the match including a 'triple save' during the first half.

His clean sheet against Aston Villa is Kepa's fourth consecutive clean sheet and the Spaniard is getting all the praise from Chelsea manager Potter.

In his post-match press conference as reported by Football London, Potter acknowledged Kepa's contribution to the team, admitting that his saves kept Chelsea in the match and gave them the victory.

Potter said: "He is contributing to us with clean sheets and how we’re trying to play and the environment around the place.

"Made some brilliant saves that have kept us in the game and allowed us to win the points so really pleased for him."

Kepa's recent brilliant performances mean Senegalese shot-stopper Edouard Mendy faces an uphill battle to dislodge the Spaniard from the No. 1 spot.

However, Potter noted that all three Chelsea senior goalkeepers have good quality and are supporting each other and spurring each other to succeed.

"I’ve got to say all three goalkeepers we’ve had here have been really, really good in that regard – supporting each other, providing good competition and that picks everybody’s level up and Kepa has found a fantastic level today," Potter explained.

Chelsea remain fourth on the Premier League table with 19 points, three points ahead of Manchester United who are fifth.

Chelsea face Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium on Wednesday, October 19 before welcoming  Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 22.
