The New York Knicks defeated the Charlotte Hornets 111-105 to extend their perfect preseason record to 4-0.
They rested major players like Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, Karl-Anthony Towns, and OG Anunoby, which makes their victory—which occurred in their final home game before the regular season began—even more remarkable.
But the Knicks proved they have depth and tenacity by defeating the Charlotte Hornets, which included Grant Williams, LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, and Brandon Miller.
For this game, head coach Tom Thibodeau started their second unit in an attempt to shake things up.
Miles McBride, Jericho Sims, Cameron Payne, Landry Shamet, and Nigeria's Precious Achiuwa assumed starting positions.
Achiuwa finished with a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, leading the Knicks in scoring.
The Nigerian signed a contract extension with the Knicks this off-season to continue his stay in New York.

T.J. Warren, who hopes to make the Knicks' final roster for the regular season, also had a significant effect, scoring 11 points off the bench.
With 16 points and 5 rebounds off the bench, rookie Pacome Dadiet was another one of the game's highlights.
The Knicks will next play their final preseason game against the Wizards in Washington before opening the regular season on the road at TD Garden the following week against the Boston Celtics.
