Rashford to Barcelona: Man Utd forward backed to make the most of 'undeserved opportunity'
Marcus Rashford’s expected season-long loan deal to Barcelona has been given a seal of approval by ex-Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley.
Barcelona are negotiating a loan for the Manchester United player, with an option to buy.
The 27-year-old forward wants the move, and both clubs, along with Rashford, agree, with final talks underway.
Marcus Rashford to join Barcelona
As per The Athletic, Barcelona would pay his full salary during the loan, which benefits the Red Devils' finances.
The LaLiga champions need a wide and upfront attacker, making Rashford suitable for coach Hansi Flick.
The Englishman, who was on loan at Aston Villa last season, scoring four goals in 17 matches before a hamstring injury ended his campaign, has not played for United since December and has expressed a desire for a new challenge.

Speaking to ESPN, Burley compared Rashford’s possible move to LaLiga to that of Antony, who thrived at Real Betis on loan from Old Trafford after three and a half years.
Antony scored nine times in 26 appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's men.
“I’m not saying it’s easier to play in Spain, I’m not saying that,” Burley said on ESPN. “But you look at what Antony was able to do at Real Betis.
“Somehow, we saw a positive side of Antony at Real Betis, and it may suit Marcus Rashford.”
How does Rashford integrate into Barcelona?
Having missed out on Nico Williams and with a deal for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz unlikely, Rashford provides a temporary solution for the Blaugrana in wide areas.
The Englishman could also play up top if the need arises, replacing Robert Lewandowski, even if a lone striker role may not completely suit the United man.
What’s next for Man Utd?
Amorim's men played out a goalless game with Leeds United on Saturday. The Red Devils' next pre-season fixture comes against West Ham United on July 27.
