While Chelsea have not put the winger up for sale nor offered him to other teams, rival clubs believe the 23-year-old is not considered an untouchable player.

There has been no official approach or direct talks between Arsenal and the Blues regarding Madueke, reports the Telegraph.

Why clubs want Chelsea’s Madueke

The report states that the winger is an attractive prospect for clubs seeking wide players due to his ability to play on both the left and right flanks.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are looking for wingers, primarily from the right, Manchester United are pursuing Bryan Mbeumo, despite late interest from Spurs and Arsenal's summer transfer priorities include signing both a wide player and a striker.

As per the report, Madueke's versatility would offer Mikel Arteta greater depth and valuable cover for Bukayo Saka.

Last season, Madueke scored eleven goals and provided five assists, earning an England call-up and assisting Harry Kane's winner against Andorra.

However, with Pedro Neto now first-choice on the right and Chelsea actively seeking a new left winger, the former PSV winger’s position in Enzo Maresca's squad could decline next season.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Chelsea outcast Kepa Arrizabalaga as cover for goalkeeper David Raya.

What’s next for Arsenal?

Arsenal, who face Manchester United on the opening weekend of the 2025-26 Premier League season, hope to finalise more extensions and incomings before the start of pre-season in July.
