Resolve Feisal Fei Toto Salum impasse – Suluhu Hassan tells Young Africans management

The legal transfer battle between Young African midfielder Feisal FeiToto Salum and his club could soon end after the intervention of the head of state in the mainland country.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan hosted the Young Africans squad to dinner in appreciation for reaching the final of the CAF Confederation Cup at State House in Dar-es-Salaam on Tuesday night.

There, she requested the club hierarchy to sort out the issue and provide her with an update.

"It doesn't make me happy to hear that a club conflicts with a player; this is not good at all," the President said before adding.

"To the management, let me request you to end your misunderstandings with Feisal."

"it doesn't make sense for a big club of your status to be in conflict with such a young player," she noted.

Samia also noted that she would be waiting for feedback on the development of the issue; whenever they're ready, they should visit her for feedback.

How It Started

It all started in December when rife media reports indicated Fei Toto was set to ditch Young Africans for money bags Azam FC.

In the deal, Feisal was supposed to buy out his remaining contract at the tune of Tzshs 100M, approximately 158M Ugx, then join the Ice cream makers as a free agent.

Young Africans declined Fei Toto's proposal, and the player's representatives took the matter to the Tanzanian FA.

However, the issue still needs to be solved with Faisal Salum out of the team since December.

Hersi Said's side of the story.

Young African president Engineer Hersi Said has maintained his innocence, saying as a club, they are willing to listen and discuss with another club (even Simba) that would want to sign Feisal Salum.

"As a club, we're open; we've been paying his (Feisal) salary ever since, although it bounces back to our account, I don't know why, but we're willing to listen to any offers, and he is free to return."

The Taifa Stars holding midfielder, during an interview last week, ruled out returning to the Jangweni-based side unless club president Hersi Said had left his role.

With Hassan Suluhu coming into the picture as an intermediary, it remains to be seen how the matter will be resolved.
