Samuel Chukwueze: AC Milan star tips Super Eagles winger to have a great season

Chukwueze has been in top form in AC Milan’s preseason games, having provided two assists against Manchester City and scoring against Real Madrid. 

The 25-year-old forward scored the winning goal in AC Milan’s win against UEFA Champions League holder Real Madrid.

Chukwueze brimming in his new form has also promised to bring a rejuvenated personality to his game in the upcoming season.

Rafael Leao, who played in the UEFA Euros has been impressed with his Nigerian colleague so far during preseason.

Speaking to SOS Fanta, Leao said, “When you don’t play a lot it becomes difficult to show what you can do but, from what I’ve seen, Chuk (Chukwueze) has more confidence, he wants to have the ball and make a difference.

"That’s what I was waiting for. If he continues like this, he’ll have a great season.” 

Chukwueze might have a fantastic season, in Leao's opinion, if he can keep up his confidence and gain more playing time.

Chukwueze's consistency has been a problem for the majority of his career and has frequently had streaks of success followed by poor performances.

He will be looking to put his last season's performance behind him and build on his brilliant start to life under the tutelage of coach Paulo Fonseca.
