SC Villa’s Gavin Kizito believes victory over NEC will boost confidence
S.C. Villa has undeniably faced a challenging commencement to the new StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, which is advancing to its third matchday.
The esteemed league champions, who experienced a subdued climax last season, have garnered a solitary point in the preceding games, suffering three concessions.
However, seasoned and versatile defender Gavin Kizito perceives the imminent home match against NEC FC as crucial.
“The forthcoming match against NEC is a watershed moment for our team. We need to secure a win to rebuild our confidence and demonstrate our potential for greatness to our fans,” Kizito told the club media.
“It’s about establishing the momentum for the remaining season, and we are poised to deliver our utmost this Friday,” he added.

S.C. Villa inaugurated their campaign with a setback, succumbing 2-1 to the newly promoted Kitara FC before acquiring their inaugural point against Maroons FC in an away game in Luzira on Sunday.
Head coach Dushan Stojanovic is optimistic about achieving his initial win of the season on Friday against the high-flying, newly promoted NEC FC.
Hussein Mbalangu’s squad has secured two consecutive games, achieving home and away triumphs. Their most recent victory was a commanding 5-0 defeat of Busoga United.
