If success is registered, it is only suitable for the head coach Mohammed Senfuma to celebrate.

The Maroons FC tactician can now afford a smile on his face after one of his dependable centre-backs, Patrick Bayega, extended his stay at the side for two more seasons.

Bayega penned a two-year contract extension committing him to the Luzira-based side until the end of the 2025 season.

"It feels great to have him (Patrick Bayega) extend his contract at the club,” Senfuma said before adding.

“If you are looking for a dependable, hardworking player, that's him, and as a club, we always longed to do it."

"He was instrumental last season, and we're looking forward to his good performance in the coming season,” he noted.

The Prisons side also confirmed a three-year contract extension for goalkeeper Amir Nalugoda.

The former Uganda Martyrs University and Bulemezi shot-stopper was on hand to appreciate the extension, adding that he'd give his best in the next season.

"I will be looking forward to giving my best performance, and we challenge ourselves to do even much better next season," Amir noted.

"I trust the quality of the coaches because they can help me improve a lot,” he added.
