Sha'Carri Richardson fires stern warning shots at opponents ahead of 2024 season

The world’s fastest woman in 2023 Sha’Carri Richardson has fired warning shots at her opponents ahead of the Paris Olympic Games next year.

Richardson, the reigning world 100m champion has made it clear that she will not let anyone stop and will be keen to extend the hot streak to the Olympic season.

“I understand that I am here to hold it down and keep pushing forward. We’re not stopping at the world champion. We cannot stop at world champion, but it is a nice beginning,” Richardson said as per Track and Field News.

She also has plans to impress in both the 100m and 200m races on the global showpiece. In Budapest, she won the 100m and finished third in the 200m and she will be looking forward to rewriting the script next season.

Richardson is also bubbling with excitement ahead of next season and what it will bring to her table after a successful 2023 season.

“I want to be a competitor, not one of those athletes who just runs the 100. I’m a 1-2 runner and I want you guys to see this, and I want to bring that out, so I’m excited about next year,” Richardson said.

The 23-year-old only lost two races in the 100m and three races in the 200m last season. She tasted her first loss in the 100m at the Gyulai István Memorial, a Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, where she finished second before finishing fourth at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting final.

In the 200m, she finished second at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix and the USA Championships. At the World Championships, she finished third in the 200m race.
