'Shakara' joins camp as Super Falcons look for revenge against Canada in 2nd friendly.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria continue their preparation for their second friendly game against Canada.

After just 17 players training and participating in the first game, the Super Falcons now have a new arrival.

The Super Falcons announced on Twitter that veteran forward Francisca Ordega has joined camp ahead of the second friendly between the two sides.

The statement by the Super Falcons said, "See who just joined us.... shakara @OrdegaF.

"We now have 18 players in camp,  with the latest arrival of CSKA Moscow striker Ordega from Russia."

The Super Falcons suffered a 2-0 loss to Canada in the first fixture but Super Falcons boss Randy Waldrum was looking at the positives from the game.

The Super Falcons posted a video on their official Twitter account of Waldrum explaining the game and highlighting some key players that performed well in the first clash.

In the video, Waldrum said, "I thought both goalkeepers were fantastic. We've seen Tochi now in two big games also against the USA last year and came on for Chiamaka 

"Both goalkeeper's have played extremely well, so I'm confident in our goalkeeping. We have a good core of goalkeepers for our team.

" I thought for me, Rasheedat was the best player in the first half. The best player of both teams on the field.  i thought she was fantastic.

" It was good to see Nicole Payne, a young player we are trying to get some experience.

" I think those young players that normally don't play a lot did well.

"A lot of positives from some players that haven't played a lot for us to get to see them in that environment."

The Super Falcons departed Vancouver venue of the frist fixture and are now in Victoria City for the second fixture.

The 18 players in camp had a smooth ferry ride to Victoria City. The team also trained at the University of Victoria pitch ahead of our second match.

The Super Falcons will take on Canada, the reigning Olympic women football champions at 3:30 PM Nigerian time in the early hours of Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
