Simon Tamale confirms suffering a knee injury as Rayon Sport unveil new goalkeeper
Rayon Sports FC goalkeeper Simon Tamale has revealed that he suffered a knee injury that required minor surgery and is slated for a spell on the sidelines.
The Ugandan custodian has disclosed that he sustained the injury as Rayon Sport drew 0-0 with giants APR in the Rwanda Premier League.
"Let's clear the air; during the Rayon Sport and APR game, I got a serious knee injury, which, after doing an MRI, suggested a minor surgery and rest for some time," Tamale said on his X handle.
"I am a person who loves and respects his job. I will be back to work soon after the doctors do approve my medical stand."

It's should be noted that Rayon Sport unveiled Senegalese goalkeeper Khadime Ndiaye, as Tamale's replacement while on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Tamale's save against Police last month has been nominated for Save of the Month for December in the Rwanda Premier League.
The custodian joined Rayon Sport towards the start of the 2023/24 as a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Maroons FC in the Uganda Premier League.
The former Soltilo Bright Stars FC player left the UPL after being named the 2022/23 Goalkeeper of the Season.
