Ssebuufu, who joined from Wakiso Giants FC, was unveiled alongside goalkeeper Will Meyer and MLS SuperDraft pick Amos Shapiro-Thompson ahead of the new NEXT MLS PRO season.

New York Red Bulls II head coach Ibrahim Ssekagya welcomed Ssebuufu, stressing that the lanky forward brings a lot to the table.

“Frank (Ssebuufu) has many skills that he can bring to the table and will be a great piece within the squad,” Ssekagya says.

“His domestic and international success was a main factor in our discussion to bring him on board.”

Sporting Director Denis Hamlet also emphasized that Ssebuufu was a great addition to New York Red Bulls II and has a bright future ahead.

“We are pleased to welcome Frank to the club for our first NEXT MLS PRO season. He has a bright future, and we know he will be a great addition to the squad.”

The former Lungujja Galaxy forward featured at the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN), playing in all three group-stage games. However, the side failed to progress from the group stages for the sixth time in the competition.

Ssebuufu, who joins compatriot Joseph Sserwada in the team, will be expected to play a vital role with Ssekagya’s charges ahead of their opening game of the season against Columbus Crew when New York Red Bulls II kickstart their campaign in the NEXT MLS PRO season.
