St Mary's Kitende rampant, scores 23 goals in two games
USSSA National Schools Championships champions St Mary's School Kitende (SMASK) got their 2024 journey off to a flying start, netting 23 goals in two games.
In their first match earlier on Tuesday in the Zonal Qualifiers, SMASK put Britannica High School to sword as they thrashed them 13-0 in the game played at Kings Way Highschool Playground.
Two goals from Abubakali Walusimbi, five from Santos Ajok, and one apiece from Haruna Kisakye, Denis Kisiriko, Steven Yiga, Reagan Isabirye, Jamal Ssemwogerere and Arafat Nkoola completed a truly dominant display.
In their second match on the day, Kitende didn't seem like they would slow down as they thrashed Christ The King 10-0.
Four goals from Elia Kiyemba inspired the East African Schools champions to another show of absolute dominion.
The other strikes came from Ajok who netted a brace and one each from Vincent Ayebale, Fahad Jumbe and Olimi Nyarwa.
Despite scoring just one goal in the second match, Nyarwa was relentless as he assisted four times.
SMASK will now return to action on Thursday with mofe group stage affairs.
