The team delegation consists of 22 players and officials, joined China-based forward Folashade Ijamilusi and USA-based star Asisat Oshoala, who were already in Casablanca.

Despite Oshoala’s recent struggles with her club Bay FC and absence from pre-tournament friendlies, she remains a key figure in the 24-player squad named for the tournament.

Nigeria's Super Falcons battled Portugal to a draw on Monday evening.

On Monday at Lisbon’s Estádio José Gomes, the nine-time African champions displayed resilience against a strong Portuguese side, holding them to a 0-0 draw.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Shukurat Oladipo, and veteran forward Francisca Ordega stood out with memorable performances, boosting the team’s confidence ahead of the tournament.

With nine titles under their belt, including recent wins in 2014, 2016, and 2018, the Falcons remain Africa’s dominant force in women’s football.

Before the tournament officially kicks off, they have one final warm-up match against regional rivals Ghana’s Black Queens, providing a final test before the battle for continental glory begins.
