Awoniyi reportedly sustained a broken nose and concussion, according to several sources.
A statement by Nottingham Forest on the injury said, "Nuno has confirmed that Taiwo Awoniyi sustained a broken nose following an aerial collision in tonight's cup tie.
"Wishing you a speedy recovery, T!"
The Super Eagles also commented on the situation with a message that said, "@awoniyi18 finds the net in the FA Cup last night as Nottingham Forest advances to the next round!

Forest will play Fulham, Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Ipswich Town (FA Cup) in their next four games across all competitions.
From an individual standpoint, Awoniyi has played just 248 minutes of Premier League football in two starts and 17 substitute appearances.
