Kerkez's passionate play is sure to win over the Liverpool faithful quickly and he spoke about it in his interview, as reported by Sportal.

"Yes, I've seen the reactions online. I think there was a foul before, but the referee didn't blow his whistle, so I tried to win the ball back. I lost my balance, and the ball bounced quite far away from me.

"I figured I'd jump and see if I could reach it with my head. That's just me; I always give 100%. When you play for Liverpool, you have to give everything for the fans and the badge. That's my approach every time I step on the pitch."

"We're still adjusting to the heat, but it's good; everyone is working hard and getting into top physical shape. I think this will definitely help when we return to England. We're training in extreme heat now, but we know the weather that awaits us, so we'll be prepared when we go back."

"Of course, I played there and trained a lot with the first team. I know a lot of the guys there. It'll be fun and a good opportunity for me to get more game time and build chemistry with my teammates. I'm really looking forward to it, as it's my former club, and I have fond memories of my time there."
