“The Ballon d’Or doesn’t worry me” – Lamine Yamal intentions about award

The youngster has predicted that either he or his teammate Raphinha could win the award if Barca go on to win the important titles.

Speaking to Diario Sport, the 17-year-old forward said that if Barcelona wins multiple trophies this season, he or Raphinha could take home the Golden Ball.

He heaped praises on his Brazilian teammate, while declaring he just wants to enjoy his football. 

"We haven’t talked about it, but if we win the titles we are fighting for, one of us will win it," Yamal said. "I’m really happy for Raphinha. I always tell him that his improvement has been incredible, and he’s playing really well. The Ballon d’Or doesn’t worry me."

He added: "I just want to enjoy football and have fun. I don’t think about these things."

Barcelona are having a fantastic season under Hansi Flick. They have reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, where they will face Borussia Dortmund. 

The Spanish side are in the Copa del Rey semi-finals where they have drawn 4-4 against Atletico Madrid in the first leg. In La Liga, they are leading the table ahead of Real Madrid on goal difference, with a game in hand.
