In stoppage time of the second half, the former Chelsea man was on the receiving end of a sweet Marquinhos cross, controlled it brilliantly with his chest before slamming it into the net and past New England Revolution keeper Djordje Petrovic.

Arsenal flew out of the blocks with Gabriel Jesus opening the scoring inside 5 minutes. Leandro Trossard doubled the lead before the interval to put Wayne Rooney's men in all kinds of trouble.
