Tottenham break jinx in Son-inspired demolition of Newcastle United

Tottenham Hotspur have ended their run of five winless games in spectacular fashion, putting four past Newcastle in a 4-1 win.

The Liliwhites hosted Eddie Howe's side at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium as they looked to get out the run, and they went about achieving this in impressive fashion, running riot against the usually sturdy Newcastle

Tottenham started with a pop and had multiple chances to go ahead early on, but they had to wait until the 26th minute for a breakthrough.

Son tormented Kieran Trippier down the right flank all through the match, and for the first goal, he side-stepped the England international before squaring it to Destiny Udogie to tap in from close range.

In a similar move as the first, Son once again left Trippier in his wake and delivered a precise ball into the box. This time, for Richarlison, who side-footed home.

The second-half was a similar story, with Tottenham attacking with intensity, and on the hour mark, they added more assuredness to the scoreline when Richarlison finished off a perfectly weighted early cross from Pedro Porro.

Son improved the scoreline in the 85th minute from the penalty spot before Joelinton scored what can only be described as a consolation goal in the 91st minute.
