However, the thrilling on-field action was marred by ugly scenes off the pitch as riot police clashed with fans outside Tottenham's stadium.
Witnesses reported seeing supporters knocked to the ground and projectiles hurled at police officers clad in riot gear and high-vis jackets.

According to reports from the Sun, Inside the stadium, an altercation unfolded between police and home fans, allegedly sparked by Arsenal supporters infiltrating the home section.
A video of the incident was shared on X where police were trying to stop the breakout fight between fans.
Amid the chaos, the video showed an Arsenal fan celebrating amidst the dismayed Spurs faithful.

According to an eyewitness, "Some supporters could be seen being knocked to the floor, While another was dragged along the ground in front of stunned onlookers."
"They were allegedly angry after some Arsenal fans snuck into the home end of the Tottenham stadium," a witness recounted.
The Australian supporter, who had travelled from Down Under for the match, claimed innocence, stating, "I didn't realize I was in the Tottenham section."
"I just got off a plane last night from Sydney, Australia," the undercover Gunner explained. "I came straight to Tottenham's stadium. I bought my ticket in Sydney. I didn't realize I was in the Tottenham section."
At the final whistle, the jubilant fan proudly revealed his Arsenal shirt underneath his jacket, much to the shame of the surrounding Spurs supporters. The incident led to chants from Arsenal fans: "We are the Arsenal, we'll sit where we want!"
The Gunners continue their charge for the Premier League title with just three games left to play before the end of the season.
