Trae Young: NBA All-star guard marries Shelby Miller

Trae Young, the top point guard for the Atlanta Hawks, married his fiancée, Shelby Miller, which was a significant life milestone.

Prior to getting married, Young and Miller had been engaged since December 2021.

On social media, videos from their wedding showed the newlyweds dancing together in the middle of a ballroom with the words "Forever Young" on the floor.

Young got married the same day Cameroon NBA MVP Joel Embiid also had his wedding with Brazilian model Anna de Paula.

Tydus Reign Young, the couple's son born in June 2022, is the child of Young, 24, and Miller, 27. 

Since 2017, when Young was a student at the University of Oklahoma, the two had been dating as Miller cheered for the team.

Young had a career-high 10.2 assists along with a 26.2 point average last year. 

He led Atlanta to the No. 7 seed in the East and a spot in the Play-In Tournament while shooting 33.5% from outside the arc on 6.3 attempts per game on average. 

The Hawks were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the last playoffs, and Young will aim to get the team a trophy this season.
