Manchester United are reportedly preparing a €30 million bid for Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, according to Turkish outlet Aksam.

However, the Turkish champions are expected to reject the offer as it falls €5 million short of their asking price for the Brazilian playmaker.

The 26-year-old former Norwich City star joined Galatasaray just last summer in a €18m transfer from the English Championship side. Despite being a recent arrival, Sara has quickly become a key figure at the Turkish giants, registering 2 goals and 10 assists across 45 appearances in all competitions last season.

United’s interest in Sara reflects their intent to bolster midfield depth ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Red Devils, now under increased pressure to rebuild under Erik ten Hag’s evolving project, see the dynamic Brazilian as a useful addition to their squad.

While Sara is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League, Galatasaray are reluctant to let him go, especially after just one season.

The Istanbul club have made it clear that they will not entertain lowball offers, and would require at least €35 million to consider selling their midfield maestro.

United focused on Mbeumo and Outgoings

Manchester United are also nearing a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, with reports suggesting a £65 million move from Brentford is all but done.

However, further incoming transfers may depend on player sales, as United look to remain compliant with profit and sustainability rules.

Several fringe players, including Donny van de Beek, Victor Lindelöf, and even André Onana, have been linked with potential exits this summer, as the club reshapes its squad.
