Bayern Munich's chase for Germany's brightest talent, Florian Wirtz, ended in defeat as the attacking midfielder moves closer to a transfer to Liverpool.
The 21-year-old playmaker is expected to complete a £116m move to the Reds, becoming the club's most expensive transfer of all time.

Bayern took the blow in good faith, with the club's director Max Eberl even wishing the player well.
In the aftermath of Wirtz' snub, the Bavarians have reportedly accelerated talks for Spain and Bilbao winger Nico Williams, triggering the 23-year-old's release clause.
Williams has been linked to a host of top clubs including Premier League duo Chelsea, and Arsenal, who are desperately in need of offensive upgrades.
Bayern must fend off interest from Barcelona, after reports emerged that Williams favoured a move to the Camp Nou.
