Travis Mutyaba makes winning debut at Zamalek to seal quarterfinal spot
Uganda Cranes midfield sensation Travis Mutyaba completed his massively anticipated debut with African powerhouse Zamalek SC, barely a month after joining them.
Mutyaba featured as Zamalek edged Libyan side Abu Salim 2-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
He came off the bench in the 63rd minute for Youssef Obama and starred on a day to remember for the youngster.
Victory for Zamalek ensured that they will play in the quarterfinals of the 2023/24 Confederation Cup.
With a game to spare, the 14-time Egyptian Premier League champions have topped proceedings in Group B, as they have 13 points in five matches.
The club is in the search for their second Confederation Cup triumph in history after their first in the 2018/19 campaign.

Meanwhile, Mutyaba will hope to build on this concrete start for future greatness with one of the continent's finest sides.
Zamalek will return to action on Friday with an Egypt Premier League clash against El Dakhley.
